The pastor’s use of this scripture in the sermon today stood out to me. He said that if we were to use this one scripture, a third of the kingdom of God is joy. Please know he wasn’t encouraging us to take this out of context. He was simply making a point about how big a deal joy is.
That would make it also a third about righteousness, which, if we use the Hebrew word “tsaddiya,” means just and lawful and right. Another third would be about peace. Peace that passes understanding. Ther Prince of Peace.
During this Readvent — Jesus the Christ embodies them all and comes to earth.
Righteousnes, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Rest. ❤
