I’m going over my day — and it’s not even over yet. I’ve still got several hours to go.

Here’s what’s happened so far.

Keck entertained me with a rendition or maybe an ode to butter. I had commented that we needed some for the baking we planned to do later. It was a good 30 minutes of total silliness. If you know him, you’ll have to ask him about it.

Then, I went to Northpark Mall and had lunch at Maggiano’s with by new best friend, Sarah. She thought I am 35 years old. I’m not.

There were quite a lot of different women at our table. The discussion was quite lively. We listened to JASNA president, Liz Philosophos Cooper, discuss Jane Austen’s publishing acumen and working woman status. Two lessons I learned: Even Jane knew that subscriptions are valuable and that a face-to-face meeting beats a hundred emails, errr letters, on a topic.

Congo Restoration was also on my agenda today, and I stopped by my friend Dawn’s house to pick up a new apron and a set of napkins to support this great group. It was a great pop-up event. More on this great organization may be coming in 2020.

I dashed home and Keck and I went to the grocery store to pick up the aforementioned butter and a few other items. I’m writing this now as two of the three layers of carrot cake bake in the oven and Keck does the dishes. He just made a big pot of chili for the Chili at the North Pole event at church tomorrow, to benefit the children’s ministry.

And in a few moments, we’ll head out to the first Christmas party of the season.

There are some days, that I realize I’m blessed beyond measure. The luckiest girl. This is one of them. ❤
