The doctor told me if I was really interested in losing weight he required that I write down everything I ate for a week.

An entire week.

Two years of constant stress had taken a toll on my waistline, my energy level, and even my mental state. The food diary revealed my unquenchable sweet tooth and my tendency to skip meals.

I could have told the doctor this without recording everything I ate. Yet in my writing it down, I could see I don’t need an in-depth analysis to know I need to eat a ton more veggies and a lot more lean meat and fish.

And, avoid the cookies, cakes. ❤
