{Re}energize

Lord we thank you …

For the crispness in the air to energize us anew.

Marsha’s prayer during heart to heart, october 12, 2019

And just like that with an opening prayer, I received my word for the day.

Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.

The crisp air and the trees shedding their glory can couple together to re-energize us like never before. The leaves nourish the land and the land reaps a benefit because they fall. It always signals for me a time of coming home.

Longer evenings with the family, cozy cups of tea, warm pots of stew and bread. It’s a time for me to slow down and in that slowing down reap the energy that so much busyness saps from me.

There’ll be time to surge forward again.

But right now, I’ll enjoy the crisp air and the chance to be re-energized anew. ❤
