I once saw a sculpture by Dean Kermit Allison. It was sculpted from glass and bronze. A new glass man was coming out of a bronze torso and feet. It was titled, Reborn.
I remember being struck by its beauty that day at the Museum of Biblical Art in Dallas. It spoke to me about the etherealness of the idea of the “born again” life. That this Christian life is supposed to change you. Affect you for the love.
Is is a beautiful piece. You can see it on Allison’s website but it doesn’t do it justice.
It’s a thought provoking and gorgeous piece of work. I remember just looking at it for several minutes and then I think I even went back to see it again before I left the exhibit that day.
It’s been many years ago when I saw the work, and it comes back to me from time to time. Being reborn is about living out a changed life in this world. ❤
