But thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and who makes known through us the fragrance that consists of the knowledge of him in every place.

2 Corinthians 2:14

My pastor shared this week that one of the ways their house sold was that his wife baked Toll House cookies during open house tours. I love essential oils and diffusing them in my home. And, the smell of mom’s fresh baked bread is comforting and reminds me of home, when I was little.

Science and psychology suggest that the sense of smell strongly connects us to our memories.

Good smells remind us of good things. While a few bad smells turn our stomachs. Good and bad smells can stick with us for a long time. When you smell the aroma again you, you remember exactly where you were and what you were doing.

For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing— to the latter an odor from death to death, but to the former a fragrance from life to life.

2 Corinthians 2:15-16a

Rest in that today. You smell like Jesus. ❤
