I’ve looked forward to it from the time I received the text from my friend, Kay: We’re having a pool party this weekend. I think I said yes almost immediately.
It’s been a long, hot, humid week. A year-long commitment is coming to an end, and the relief I feel at handing over the reins to someone else is a little like a burden being lifted.
I was ready to relax.
A few hours later relaxed, refreshed, and feeling better — we headed home for a good night’s sleep. Refreshed. ❤
