Sometimes I long to be revived.

Yet, before I can be revived, something usually has to die first.

I tell you the solemn truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces much grain.

Jesus the christ, John 12:24

Kind of like this piece of land in uptown Dallas. I snapped this photo when driving by more than 5 years ago. Now, I’m certain there’s a multi-story apartment complex. The old had to “pass away” before anything new could be erected.

I love the story of Nehemiah. It’s a story of dying to fear, remembering the old, ancient path, of listening to scripture, repenting, and moving on. It’s a full on story of a revival that followed repentence. ❤
