{Re}hydrate

Dehydration.

I read an article the other day about how dehydration tests don’t really tell the whole story. Dehydration usually presents with fatigue, headaches, and dry skin. But the only way to really tell about how dehydrated a person is through a blood test.

This basically means that more people are dehydrated than are actually diagnosed.

I’m likely dehydrated. Right now. So are you.

A few years ago for Lent, instead of taking away something, I worked make sure I was drinking enough water. I ordered it with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And, I tried to drink it throughout the day.

Every time I took a sip or grabbed another glass, I tried to think of Jesus’ words in John:

Jesus answered her, “If you had known the gift of God and who it is who said to you, ‘Give me some water to drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

John 4:10

Sometimes I feel dehydrated spiritually.

Fortunately, I can go to the source of living water. ❤
