Where do you reside?

I know you likely live in a house or an apartment or 5th wheel or some other domicile. But where is it that you really live?

I guess I’m really asking what do you live into?

A week ago I heard a speaker at a conference suggest that individuals need their own strategic plan. Because a strategic plan is actionable, and you can govern yourself enough to make positive changes and accomplish your goals.

He used the example of his kids. He wanted to be the best possible father and to spend time with them. It was an investment he wanted to ensure he made so he tried to commit himself to it.

There was a part of me that thought this was genius. Another part of me that thought this was too much. Too, too much.

Yet, I want to live into something.

As a deer longs for streams of water,
so I long for you, O God!
I thirst for God,
for the living God.

Psalm 42:1-2

Now that’s something I can live into. The Psalmist is down and a bit depressed, but he longs to live into the goodness of The Lord. He further says:

One deep stream calls out to another at the sound of your waterfalls;
all your billows and waves overwhelm me.
By day the Lord decrees his loyal love,
and by night he gives me a song,
a prayer to the living God.

Psalm 42:7-8

Loyal love by day and a song by night. Yes, I can live into that. ❤
