It sometimes seems that rest is one of the most evasive things in our lives. We chase after a good night’s sleep or a 15-minute nap. Or, we struggle to take a 10-minute break and shovel in our lunch at our desks.

We often find rest in a dress that ties in the back, with a needle stuck in our arm, and a diagnosis.

We must practice rest.

How?

How can we practice something that so eludes us?

Jesus tells us, come to me. Take his yoke and learn from me. Learn from me because I am gentle and humble in heart.

Sounds so easy. Just come.

It takes practice, to simply give ourselves over to being connected with the life giver, the who gives us rest. ❤
